Responsibilities
- Own the full software development lifecycle from design and development through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Build scalable, high-performance frontend applications and embeddable components with JavaScript/TypeScript and React/Next.js.
- Design backend services, REST APIs, microservices, serverless functions, and event-driven data pipelines.
- Develop secure third-party integrations, including authentication flows and webhooks.
- Create and maintain sequence diagrams and technical documentation describing service interactions and data flows.
- Design and maintain NoSQL databases and caching layers with attention to data modeling, integrity, performance, and maintainability.
- Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines, monitor production services, investigate incidents, and support high-traffic events.
- Review code, provide constructive feedback, share knowledge, and collaborate in a Lite Agile environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend development experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, including relevant frameworks, libraries, and tooling.
- Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience producing sequence diagrams and technical documentation from implementation requirements.
- Experience designing, consuming, and architecting REST APIs.
- Hands-on AWS experience, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, and EventBridge.
- Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and caching, such as DynamoDB and Redis.
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0 and secure handling of tokens and user data.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Fluent written and spoken English, openness to learning, and adaptability.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and the judgment to review and validate AI-generated code before release.
- Desirable experience with Next.js, embeddable frontend components, GraphQL, partner integrations, or high-traffic consumer platforms.
