Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions, product architecture walkthroughs, proof-of-value implementations, and technical demonstrations for prospective and existing enterprise customers.
- Serve as the primary technical lead and trusted advisor on complex customer engagements.
- Translate customer technical requirements into SailPoint platform solutions and collaborate with Solution Engineering, Sales, Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success.
- Build reusable agentic technology solutions, implementation artifacts, and demonstration frameworks using AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Use prompting, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop review to accelerate delivery while validating and owning shipped code.
- Mentor and onboard newer Forward Deployed Engineers and represent SailPoint at user groups, webinars, and industry conferences.
- Complete SailPoint onboarding and pursue SailPoint Certified Engineer or Solution Architect certification.
- Travel up to 15% as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5–7+ years of professional experience in an enterprise software company, systems integrator, or technology consulting firm.
- At least 3 years of hands-on software implementation, technical advisory, or pre-sales engineering experience.
- Proven experience in software development, system configuration, and SaaS architecture.
- Working knowledge of web services, application servers, relational and NoSQL databases, virtualization, and enterprise directory services including LDAP and AD.
- Hands-on familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, SQL, PowerShell, JavaScript, TypeScript, or NodeJS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with extensive experience presenting directly to enterprise clients and partners.
- Comfort with AI development tools, prompting, agentic workflows, and review of AI-generated code.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of experience with Identity Governance and Administration or Identity and Access Management solutions.
- Preferred: experience with SailPoint, Saviynt, One Identity, Oracle Identity Manager, AWS, Azure, GCP, ServiceNow, SAP, or Salesforce.
- Preferred: relevant certifications such as CISSP, AWS or Azure certifications, or SailPoint certifications.
