Base Salary
$110k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to understand complex business challenges and identify opportunities for AI-driven impact.
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade applications using AI, machine learning, cloud technologies, APIs, and modern software engineering practices.
- Develop solutions using large language models, retrieval systems, agents, workflow automation, and advanced analytics.
- Lead projects from discovery and prototyping through deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
- Collaborate with client teams, product leaders, engineers, and data scientists to deliver scalable solutions.
- Measure solution performance, reliability, and user adoption and continuously improve deployed systems.
- Create reusable frameworks, share learnings, and influence future AI product direction.
- Travel to client locations for discovery, implementation support, workshops, and strategic collaboration.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, solutions engineering, deployment engineering, technical consulting, or a related field.
- Ability to build and deliver production systems from requirements gathering through implementation and adoption.
- Strong software engineering experience with Python, Java, Go, TypeScript, or similar languages, plus APIs, SQL, cloud platforms, data pipelines, and modern application architectures.
- Experience building or deploying AI, machine learning, generative AI, or LLM-based applications in production.
- Ability to translate ambiguous problems into practical, scalable technical solutions while considering reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Excellent communication skills and experience engaging technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients.
- Experience gathering customer requirements, building trusted relationships, leading technical discussions, influencing decisions, and driving projects forward.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% to client locations.
- Preferred experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Customer Engineering, or similar client-facing engineering roles.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and with enterprise clients, complex technical engagements, startup environments, retail, CPG, analytics, or data-driven decision-making.
