Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end validation and product quality assurance strategy for embedded software, firmware, and platform solutions through release.
  • Develop test strategies, test plans, validation architectures, automation methodologies, coverage models, and release qualification plans.
  • Provide technical expertise across platform domains including HSIO, LSIO, BIOS/UEFI, RAS, telemetry, and BMC technologies.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, software, hardware, and program management teams to define validation requirements, quality metrics, and release criteria.
  • Support pre-silicon emulation, silicon bring-up, board validation, firmware integration, post-silicon validation, and system-level debugging.
  • Define and monitor quality indicators, validation metrics, and coverage goals to guide quality improvements and release decisions.
  • Mentor validation engineers and provide technical leadership in test architecture, automation, debugging, root-cause analysis, and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in firmware validation, platform validation, embedded software validation, quality engineering, or related domains through production release.
  • Experience defining and delivering validation strategies, quality assurance frameworks, and release qualification plans for complex firmware, embedded software, and hardware-software integrated platforms.
  • Strong expertise in validation architectures, test strategies, test plans, and coverage models across component, subsystem, integration, and system levels.
  • Background validating firmware, platform software, or low-level system software on pre-silicon and silicon platforms, preferably Arm-based systems.
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++, with proficiency in Python, Shell, or Perl for automation and scripting.
  • Experience with server or infrastructure platforms and customer- or production-facing environments is preferred.
  • Understanding of system architecture, Arm systems, operating system fundamentals, bootloaders, firmware interfaces, device drivers, and board bring-up flows is preferred.
  • Experience with SystemReady, ACS, firmware conformance, security validation, customer acceptance testing, validation teams, validation frameworks, lab automation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or release-readiness processes is preferred.
  • Experience working in globally distributed teams is preferred.
