Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, BAPIs, BAdIs, user exits, CDS Views, AMDPs, RAP applications, and OData services.
- Build scalable ABAP OO and S/4HANA VDM solutions with CDS annotations and SAP Fiori integration.
- Design and support integrations using IDocs, RFCs, APIs, SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP BTP.
- Implement and optimize Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAPScript, ALV reporting, and related SAP forms solutions.
- Analyze and improve application performance through ABAP tuning and SQL optimization.
- Support S/4HANA migration and simplification initiatives, including ECC-to-S/4 conversion activities.
- Collaborate with Basis and infrastructure teams on OpenStack-hosted SAP landscapes, high availability, disaster recovery, system copies, and environment management.
- Participate in DevOps practices using gCTS, abapGit, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ATC, and automated testing.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and compliance with SAP development standards.
- Support SAP CAR inbound and outbound enhancements, STL, DDF, and integrations with POS and other SAP systems.
- Champion technical direction, scaling, resilience, product development, and high-scale re-architecture initiatives while guiding engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
- 7+ years of S/4HANA development experience.
- 5+ years of experience with CDS Views, OData, RAP, and integrations.
- 5+ years of ABAP OO development experience.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 and OpenStack or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite, or similar middleware technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 4 years of software engineering or related experience, or 6 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a relevant computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, or software engineering field and 2 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Experience with SAP CAR, SAP CAR inbound, BAdIs, outbound enhancements, STL, DDF, and POS integrations.
