Responsibilities
- Design, code, debug, test, monitor, and deploy performant backend services and connector plugins in Go.
- Own ambiguous technical problems end to end and create modular, reliable, and scalable designs.
- Build database scraping and network protocol management components for routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Participate in the global on-call rotation, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and create remediation automation.
- Improve technical debt management, CI/CD pipelines, observability, alerting, documentation, and engineering velocity.
- Mentor P2/P3 engineers through code reviews, pairing, and Go best practices.
- Collaborate with global technical leads on architecture, design proposals, dependencies, and execution alignment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building high-scale, cloud-native backend systems.
- Demonstrated Staff-level ability to own large tasks end to end, influence team-level technical decisions, and elevate surrounding engineers.
- Experience in Privileged Access Management, Identity & Access Management, deep networking infrastructure, credential management, asset discovery, or agentless communication patterns.
- Strong Go proficiency, or deep expertise in C++, Rust, or Java with the ability to quickly master Go.
- Hands-on experience with SSH, Telnet, TCP/IP, database security, microservices, and asynchronous event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD automation, and telemetry or observability tools.
- Experience with PAM or IAM companies such as CyberArk or Delinea, graph databases such as ArangoDB, policy engines such as OPA, open-source infrastructure, or technical blogging is preferred.
- Strong communication, empathy, humility, knowledge-sharing, feedback-seeking, and engineering-culture skills are expected.
