Responsibilities
- Design scalable end-to-end order management architectures and integration patterns using Sterling OMS.
- Define Sterling OMS configuration and customization approaches for fulfillment, order visibility, promotions, sourcing, and inventory synchronization.
- Administer IBM Sterling OMS environments, including setup, provisioning, installation, patching, user and role management, deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
- Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments for high-volume order management systems.
- Guide teams on Sterling OMS extensions, APIs, and integrations with ERP, CRM, payment platforms, and other enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, engineering teams, and onsite and remote stakeholders.
- Ensure security, compliance, data privacy, access management, logging, and audit readiness in solution designs.
- Create architecture diagrams, configuration guides, operational runbooks, and knowledge-transfer documentation.
- Support incident analysis and complex defect resolution by reviewing logs, configurations, and design decisions.
- Evaluate Sterling OMS upgrades, product features, and emerging implementation patterns for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Nine to twelve years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture or solution design, focused on commerce and order management platforms.
- Advanced hands-on expertise with Sterling OMS, including configuration, order workflows, promotions, sourcing rules, and inventory services.
- Deep proficiency in IBM Sterling OMS Administration, including provisioning, installation, patching, user and role administration, and multi-stage configuration deployment.
- Practical knowledge of messaging middleware, APIs, and batch interfaces for enterprise application integrations.
- Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting high-volume order management systems.
- Familiarity with secure hybrid-work practices, collaboration tools, version control, and documentation standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills for explaining complex architecture concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
