Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe engineering teams.
- Build scalable, configurable platform features and system solutions for global use.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across domains to deliver large-scale features.
- Work on distributed, multi-tenant data infrastructure with high reliability, low latency, strong correctness, and strict SLAs.
- Contribute to system design, technical decision-making, and successful project completion.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience delivering, extending, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
- Ability to design elegant abstractions over complex systems and patterns, especially in financial technology.
- High standards for production systems and high-quality code.
- Experience taking complex projects through successful completion across varied technologies and systems.
- Strong systems, services, and platform thinking with sound product judgment.
- Ability to solve complex problems elegantly in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with people across diverse areas of expertise.
- Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems is preferred.
- Experience working in high-growth teams similar to Stripe is preferred.
