Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the architecture of assigned rApps, including data flows, interfaces, deployment models, integrations, and lifecycle concerns.
  • Lead technical studies, opportunity assessments, architecture decisions, design reviews, and governance activities across the product lifecycle.
  • Define architecture documentation, standards, design guidelines, and non-functional requirements for scalability, reliability, performance, security, privacy, and maintainability.
  • Guide development and DevOps teams on architecture strategy, standards, best practices, and technical trade-offs.
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and technical debt and drive mitigation plans.
  • Translate RAN automation use cases into scalable, production-ready software architectures.
  • Collaborate with Product, System Owners, S&T, NDO, SRE, and DevOps stakeholders and represent development teams in architecture forums.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • 13+ years of experience in software or system development, including significant cloud-native and distributed-systems architecture experience.
  • Experience in Telecom, RAN, O-RAN, SMO, network automation, or related domains.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, containers, microservices, service mesh, API management, and highly available and observable systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and React development.
  • Understanding of RAN automation, Non-RT RIC concepts, and rApps ecosystems.
  • Experience with architecture governance, technical-debt management, cross-functional collaboration, and Agile DevOps environments.
  • Strong knowledge of security and privacy-by-design principles.
  • Technical leadership, stakeholder-management, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven applications and data-centric architectures is an advantage.
