Responsibilities
- Define and own Salesforce Commerce Cloud architecture covering cartridges, SFRA controllers and pipelines, OCAPI/SCAPI, and composable storefront services.
- Translate eCommerce roadmap initiatives into technical solution designs and architecture documentation.
- Lead and review SFRA and PWA development while enforcing coding, performance, and security standards.
- Design integrations between Salesforce Commerce Cloud and payment, tax, fraud, PIM, DAM, OMS/ERP, and search systems through middleware.
- Produce technical estimates and impact analyses covering performance, security, localization, and cross-border requirements.
- Own sandbox and staging strategy, release pipelines, performance tooling, monitoring, and release quality gates.
- Mentor developers and contribute to division-level design authority and technical communities.
- Provide technical leadership during product launches, promotional campaigns, and seasonal peak trading events.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience.
- Strong hands-on architecture and development experience with Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud, including SFRA and composable or headless storefronts such as PWA Kit.
- Expert-level JavaScript, Node.js, ISML templating, cartridge architecture, and OCAPI/SCAPI experience.
- Experience designing integrations with payment service providers, tax and fraud services, PIM/DAM, and OMS/ERP systems through middleware.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce performance, SEO, and security practices in high-traffic, revenue-critical environments.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing eCommerce platform release and deployment processes.
- Ability to produce clear technical specifications, estimates, impact analyses, and architecture documentation.
- Excellent English communication skills; French or Italian is advantageous.
- Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud Architect or Developer certification is desirable.
- Experience with React-based composable or headless commerce, multi-country or cross-border eCommerce, and luxury or retail omnichannel commerce is desirable.
