Responsibilities
- Provide principal-level technical leadership across application design, development, modernization, and delivery.
- Lead architectural discussions, define engineering standards, review complex designs, and mentor developers and technical leads.
- Design and deliver resilient, observable, performant, secure, and scalable mission-critical applications using cloud-native patterns, microservices, containers, CI/CD, and DevOps automation.
- Collaborate with US technology leadership, product teams, business stakeholders, architects, and global engineering teams on technical strategy, roadmaps, risks, and trade-offs.
- Lead the technical design and deployment of agentic AI systems and guide their integration into business workflows.
- Support multi-year modernization roadmaps and solve complex operational challenges for airline Network Operations Center capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of IT and business or industry experience in application development, software engineering, solution architecture, or large-scale software delivery, with a strong technical leadership focus.
- At least 10 years of hands-on application development experience using Java, .NET, React, AWS, and related modern technology stacks.
- At least 4 years of experience architecting and designing complex enterprise-scale software applications, preferably with cloud-native, microservices-based, and event-driven patterns.
- Expert-level knowledge of Aviation Network Operations Centers, including IRROPS, day-of-operations management, operational decision support, and mission-critical airline technology platforms.
- Experience with agentic AI-based development and with designing, deploying, and integrating agentic AI systems.
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture, Docker and container platforms, cloud-based application development, observability, secure engineering practices, CI/CD, and DevOps automation.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and with Agile and DevOps practices.
- Ability to provide technical direction, architecture guidance, design reviews, engineering mentorship, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and cross-cultural collaboration.
- Airline or NOC experience is preferred, as are AWS, Azure, or GCP Solution Architect and related engineering certifications.
