Base Salary
$212k - $368k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide site reliability engineering support for highly available, large-scale, fault-tolerant systems.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain automation and software that improve reliability, scalability, and service operability.
- Measure and monitor availability, latency, and overall service health.
- Perform incident response, postmortems, and root cause analysis to improve system design and response practices.
- Create and maintain runbooks for alerting, troubleshooting, and service resolution.
- Coordinate and monitor data services operations, including SLA management and system deployment.
- Perform Linux administration, performance monitoring, network debugging, and troubleshooting of networked applications.
- Establish engineering best practices and mentor junior engineers and interns.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field plus two years of related work experience; or a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of those fields plus five years of progressive post-bachelor’s related experience.
- At least two years of experience supporting functionality and reliability for critical site components through availability, latency, and system-health monitoring.
- At least two years of experience across the software development lifecycle for back-end and cloud-native projects.
- At least two years of experience creating and maintaining service runbooks.
- At least two years of experience coordinating and monitoring data services operations, including SLA management and deployment.
- At least two years of experience with Linux administration, OS networking protocol stacks, virtualization, and containerization.
