Responsibilities
- Contribute to customer implementations across application assessment and planning, architecture, development, integration, release configuration, testing, production operations, optimization, and best-practice adoption.
- Deliver classroom-based training to architects, developers, and operations personnel.
- Work with consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams as part of a broader delivery organization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to MongoDB customers and guide customer adoption and success.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence the MongoDB product roadmap.
- Communicate technical proposals and product-roadmap information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Maintain the required level of billable utilization and develop expertise across MongoDB products.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software development, consulting, or support experience, preferably across several industries or verticals.
- Competence in at least one of Java, C++, C#, Python, Node.js/JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Scala, or Go.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations.
- Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
- Comfort with frequent short trips to customer sites during the working week.
- Strong capability in English and any necessary local language.
