Responsibilities
- Design language features and type systems that provide stronger compile-time guarantees.
- Develop compiler optimization, code generation, and backend technologies for performance-sensitive systems.
- Build incremental and parallel runtimes for large dynamic computation graphs.
- Support high-performance computing, hardware-design languages, verification tooling, GPUs, and other ML accelerators.
- Design, implement, and evolve domain-specific languages for internal platforms.
- Build profilers, debuggers, language servers, IDE integrations, documentation tools, and related developer infrastructure.
- Contribute to open-source language implementations such as OCaml and Python where applicable.
Requirements
- Deep experience with and enthusiasm for programming languages, with experience in areas such as language design, type systems, compilers, runtimes, or DSL implementation.
- Top-notch programming skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in small, close-knit teams.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Previous OCaml or functional programming experience is not required.
