Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex cloud products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.
- Build efficient, scalable, and robust cloud subsystems for mission-critical applications.
- Review designs, test plans, and code for compliance with cloud design and development standards.
- Provide feedback to improve product quality and mitigate risks.
- Represent the engineering team in technical forums and provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.
- Drive the integration of new technologies into software systems projects.
- Analyze complex application, system administration, network, science, engineering, and business data-processing problems and implement solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Typically 7+ years of experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of microservice architecture and containerized, Kubernetes-managed environments.
- Experience designing and integrating software systems across multiple platform types.
- Knowledge of software systems testing methodologies, including writing and executing test plans, debugging, and using testing scripts and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate product architectures and design proposals to senior management.
