Responsibilities
- Design and execute core components of the Agent Measurement & Forecasting metrics platform.
- Build and operate pipelines that land AI-agent telemetry into Apache Iceberg through dbt.
- Enforce schema contracts using CI/CD gates and automated data-quality checks.
- Extend the MetricsFlow semantic layer to serve governed metrics to the Product Data Store and downstream consumers.
- Improve multi-tenant data isolation, low-latency metric-serving performance, and the migration path from per-tier governance.
- Develop APIs and data products for downstream consumers and contribute to architectural and system-design discussions.
- Provide domain expertise in pipeline design, schema governance, and semantic-layer serving.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development engineering experience designing, developing, and deploying software solutions.
- At least 3 years of software development engineering experience with production-level Python and SQL.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with dbt, Apache Iceberg, and semantic-layer tooling such as MetricsFlow, dbt Semantic Layer, or Cube.
- Understanding of data governance, schema-contract enforcement, CI/CD schema gates, and automated data-quality checks.
- Experience with large-scale data-processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Kafka in distributed architectures.
- Practical API-development experience with gRPC or REST.
- Understanding of multi-tenant data isolation, encryption, tenant-scoped authorization, and related security principles.
- Knowledge of distributed-systems concepts including data partitioning, eventual consistency, and fault tolerance.
- Understanding of object-oriented design and architectural patterns for scalable data systems.
- Experience with Git and GitHub or Bitbucket in collaborative distributed development workflows.
- Ability to collaborate across distributed teams and contribute to architectural discussions and system design.
- Strong technical writing skills for design specifications, data contracts, and API documentation.
