Responsibilities
- Own and improve seQura’s multi-account AWS foundation and Kubernetes EKS clusters.
- Build and operate Infrastructure as Code, deployment and GitOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, observability systems, and internal developer tooling.
- Design and operate highly available distributed systems, including incident response, post-mortems, and reliability improvements.
- Scale infrastructure for international expansion while managing isolation, compliance, reliability, and baseline costs.
- Advance AI agents that support infrastructure changes, incident response, and self-service engineering workflows.
- Define strategies for adopting, upgrading, and securing open-source software dependencies.
- Work with product engineering, Security, Data Platform, and Compliance teams to deliver platform initiatives end to end.
- Lead cross-team initiatives and contribute proposals to future platform roadmaps.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and operating highly available distributed systems in production, including incidents and post-mortems.
- Proven experience scaling infrastructure at global scale.
- Strong hands-on production experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- A product mindset focused on users, business impact, and prioritization.
- Hands-on experience using AI agents in daily engineering work.
- Demonstrated agency, ownership, and ability to take initiatives from problem identification through production.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated environments such as PCI DSS or DORA is preferred.
- Experience with Terragrunt, Atlantis, or GitOps workflows is preferred.
- Scripting or programming experience in Python, Go, or a similar language is preferred.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, the Elastic stack, or Tempo is preferred.
- Experience building internal developer platforms, self-service tooling, AI agents, engineering automations, or participating in an on-call rotation is preferred.
- Spanish language skills are preferred.
