  • Characterize CPU, cache, memory, NUMA, and I/O behavior on ARMv9 server platforms.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and debug regressions using PMU counters, profiling tools, system traces, and controlled experiments.
  • Track performance KPIs and automate regression detection across software, firmware, and hardware updates.
  • Tune Linux kernel parameters, system configurations, benchmark settings, compiler flags, and toolchains, including ARMv9 and SVE/SVE2 code paths.
  • Develop automated benchmarking frameworks, scalable testbeds, and data collection, visualization, and reporting pipelines.
  • Validate performance for hyperscalers, Kubernetes, enterprise workloads, OEMs, and ODMs, and support customer evaluations and field issues.
  • Collaborate with kernel, compiler, silicon, customer, hardware, firmware, and software teams to verify performance improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, or a related field, or a master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in performance engineering, system software, or related work, with minimum-qualification alternatives of 2+ years for a bachelor’s degree, 1+ year for a master’s degree, or a PhD.
  • At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Bash and working knowledge of C/C++ in performance-critical environments.
