Responsibilities
- Define technical solutions to business problems and contribute to scalable architectural direction.
- Develop and ship backend code using Kotlin microservices, Postgres, and some Ruby on Rails services.
- Deploy frequent releases using CircleCI and Spinnaker, then iterate based on customer feedback.
- Monitor services, diagnose root causes, and deploy fixes before issues affect users.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in a STEM subject is preferred, though equivalent practical experience is accepted.
- Experience working at a similar level in a mature engineering team.
- Technical expertise in at least one programming language, with Kotlin and Ruby used by the team.
- Ideally, experience with relational databases.
- Experience with AI technologies such as LLM API integration, AI-assisted workflows, or AI tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated impact in previous roles, along with a proactive, detail-oriented, and high-ownership approach.
