Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and maintain enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure platforms for mission-critical applications.
- Architect highly available, fault-tolerant solutions aligned with resiliency, continuity, recovery, uptime, and performance objectives.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code, automation pipelines, and standardized deployment patterns.
- Integrate security controls, identity and access management, network segmentation, and zero-trust principles into platform designs.
- Lead cloud cost optimization, consumption monitoring, observability, logging, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Drive disaster-recovery architecture, validation, and testing.
- Execute vulnerability remediation, patching, configuration hardening, and continuous compliance activities.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for cloud incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Evaluate cloud technologies, tools, and vendors and influence platform strategy and sourcing decisions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level platform engineers, review solution designs, and establish engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture across compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
- Support corporate risk management and regulatory compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required, with equivalent experience substitutions permitted.
- Seven years of job-related experience required.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP and the ability to apply cloud best practices to hybrid cloud and datacenter environments preferred.
- Preferred certifications include ITIL, Terraform Certified Professional, and AWS Solution Architect.
- Excellent communication, management, project management, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
