Responsibilities

Design, engineer, and maintain enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure platforms for mission-critical applications.
Architect highly available, fault-tolerant solutions aligned with resiliency, continuity, recovery, uptime, and performance objectives.
Develop infrastructure-as-code, automation pipelines, and standardized deployment patterns.
Integrate security controls, identity and access management, network segmentation, and zero-trust principles into platform designs.
Lead cloud cost optimization, consumption monitoring, observability, logging, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Drive disaster-recovery architecture, validation, and testing.
Execute vulnerability remediation, patching, configuration hardening, and continuous compliance activities.
Serve as a senior escalation point for cloud incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Evaluate cloud technologies, tools, and vendors and influence platform strategy and sourcing decisions.
Mentor junior and mid-level platform engineers, review solution designs, and establish engineering best practices.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture across compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
Support corporate risk management and regulatory compliance requirements.

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required, with equivalent experience substitutions permitted.
Seven years of job-related experience required.
Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP and the ability to apply cloud best practices to hybrid cloud and datacenter environments preferred.
Preferred certifications include ITIL, Terraform Certified Professional, and AWS Solution Architect.
Excellent communication, management, project management, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

This is an on-site position at the Financial Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Candidates must be local to Pittsburgh or willing to relocate.
