Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, implementation, and operational excellence of complex features spanning multiple services and teams.
- Lead architecture decisions for large-scale systems handling hundreds of millions of daily transactions with AI/ML components.
- Design systems from scratch and integrate them with LLM deployments, agentic systems, and workflow optimization pipelines.
- Build and optimize inference infrastructure for multimodal models, embedding-based systems, and cascaded inference architectures.
- Drive technical change across teams, establish architectural consistency, and unblock engineering and science workstreams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, feedback, and technical guidance.
- Partner with Applied Scientists to translate ML research into production systems processing billions of records.
- Communicate with stakeholders and make strategic trade-offs between delivery speed and long-term system health.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
