Base Salary
$190k - $228k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and evolution of critical software systems.
- Design, implement, test, and ship features across cloud, mobile app, and internal tools.
- Grow data pipelines and cloud systems for fleet visibility and analytics.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and product teams for seamless integration.
- Refine feature requirements balancing user needs and system complexity.
- Partner with engineering leadership to shape technical direction.
- Support mobile releases and QA with a focus on automation.
- Lead by example through high-quality code and strong engineering practices.
- Contribute to code reviews and mentor other engineers.
- Assist with operational needs, including on-call incident response.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a startup.
- Proven ability to drive large, ambiguous technical problems from definition to execution.
- Strong experience in designing and building cloud-based systems, including distributed systems.
- Comfort with a modern web stack, including TypeScript, Python, React, and SQL.
- Experience building production-quality systems with a focus on reliability and automated testing.
- Ability to communicate clearly across teams and with non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and making pragmatic tradeoffs.
