Responsibilities
- Own the technical design, development, and delivery of backend services and applications for wealth lending platforms.
- Design and develop scalable Java and Spring microservices, RESTful APIs, service layers, and data access layers.
- Define and implement complex business logic, data transformations, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
- Lead architecture decisions, code quality reviews, performance profiling, optimization, and technical issue resolution.
- Mentor Java developers and guide development best practices, design patterns, code quality, and technical discussions.
- Build or maintain event-driven integrations, monitoring, logging, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud or containerized deployments.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve developer productivity, code quality, and testing.
- Assess technical and business risks and support compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of progressive software development experience, including at least 1-2 years in a senior developer or lead capacity.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
- Expertise designing RESTful APIs and documenting them with Swagger or OpenAPI.
- Strong Oracle database experience, advanced SQL skills, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Hibernate, Java Persistence API, Kafka or Solace, API gateways, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Practical experience with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Devin.
- Ability to lead, mentor, communicate effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects and resolving complex technical issues with limited supervision.
- Financial services or banking experience, particularly with wealth management, lending platforms, or lending and risk domains, is highly desirable.
- Cloud platform, container orchestration, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and collaboration-tool experience is preferred.
- Certifications in Java, Spring, or cloud platforms are a plus.
