Responsibilities
- Define and own reference architectures for agentic AI, including LLM orchestration, tool use, retrieval, guardrails, evaluation harnesses, and observability.
- Lead hands-on software development in Python, using PyTorch or TensorFlow where needed.
- Build reusable GenAI/ML engineering assets, reference implementations, SDKs, RAG components, prompt-management tools, evaluators, safety filters, memory stores, connectors, and deployment patterns.
- Build and operationalize agentic GenAI workflows with planning and execution patterns, tool calling, state management, retries, permissions, guardrails, and observability.
- Lead vendor, startup, and internal evaluation sessions to assess architectural designs, technical capabilities, and applicability to existing systems.
- Drive AI/ML standards, interoperability, adoption, reuse, and communities of practice across software engineering and partner teams.
- Identify automation opportunities that improve the operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Advise cross-functional teams on Agentic AI Platforms and AI-driven customer experiences.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts.
- At least 10 years of applied experience in AI/ML or related technical disciplines.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience building agentic AI solutions and LLM orchestration, including prompt engineering, tool use, retrieval, evaluators, and guardrails.
- Strong Python engineering skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience establishing standards for human-in-the-loop validation, auditability, traceability, secure handling of sensitive data, and agentic AI-enabled development practices.
- Expertise with AI/ML technologies and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face, and RAG.
- Experience designing scalable and reliable systems, selecting technologies, defining system interactions, documenting architectures, and conducting collaborative design reviews.
- Cloud deployment experience with AWS or Azure for AI/ML workloads, including reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Ability to advise cross-functional teams, solve complex technology problems, and communicate effectively with senior leaders and executives.
- Preferred experience building agentic AI platforms for AI-driven customer experiences and practical cloud-native experience.
