Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a modern automated cloud environment.
- Improve and uphold technical standards for development and operations, including coding standards and department best practices.
- Productionize new technologies and introduce industry ideas.
- Provide technical leadership in DevOps, cloud automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud operations.
- Contribute to DevOps team development through recruiting efforts, mentorship, and promotion of Agile best practices.
- Create professional design and best-practice documentation, including ADRs, repository documentation, and Confluence documentation.
- Work independently and collaboratively to design and build organizational solutions.
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of cloud engineering experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience.
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- Software development, Git, source control, CI/CD, and inline-documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Terraform and CDK.
- Experience with Python, Bash scripting, Ansible, Helm, Make, and automation.
- Strong AWS and cloud knowledge.
- Experience with networking, EKS/ECS, WAF, Lambda, API Gateway, and IAM.
- Strong technical implementation experience with security standards, disaster recovery and high-availability infrastructure standards, and reliability engineering.
- Preferred qualifications include CDK with Python or TypeScript, AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, SCP, AWS Config, Java, Go, JavaScript, frontend or backend software experience, AWS or cloud certifications, Harness CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
