Base Salary
$90k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Guide small groups of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, on assigned engineering projects.
- Translate project requirements into technical solutions, write and develop code, and manage project delivery and hand-offs.
- Design and implement applications and Java-based web services using SQL databases.
- Conduct unit and functional testing, troubleshoot applications, fix bugs, and perform root-cause analysis on business and production issues.
- Support business users by researching solutions, advising on implementation strategies, and explaining implications of new and enhanced systems.
- Participate in project discovery and high-level design with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.
- Communicate project status and issues and collaborate with project and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages, including Java and Python.
- Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java.
- Experience using SQL databases, including Azure DB.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting applications with unit and functional tests.
- Experience with Splunk, Grafana, and Kibana monitoring tools.
- Experience with XML and JSON markup languages.
- Experience deploying applications using WebSphere, Tomcat, and JBoss application servers.
- Experience using Git and SVN for version control.
- Experience debugging with Chrome developer tools, Splunk, Dynatrace, Pier management, and defect management tools.
- Experience with SDLC and Agile development.
- Experience with test-driven development using Karma and Jasmine; the employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
