Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable distributed-system components and optimize systems for large-scale data processing.
- Implement performance, load, fault-injection, brown-out, functional, and correctness testing.
- Build fault-tolerant components using redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts.
- Create alarms, dashboards, telemetry, alerting, runbooks, and operational procedures for reliability and recovery.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues, participate in support rotations and incident response, and conduct root cause investigations.
- Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code tools for troubleshooting, maintenance, patching, updates, and rollbacks.
- Apply encryption, access controls, security remediation, compliance controls, and documentation standards in multi-tenant cloud environments.
- Review peer implementations for scalability, coordinate across teams, manage timelines, and improve team processes.
Requirements
