Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test plans for Java-based services and integrations.
- Validate asynchronous JMS/ActiveMQ workflows, including message ordering, delivery guarantees, error handling, duplicate messages, out-of-order messages, and recovery scenarios.
- Test data replication and synchronization across systems, including trail file processing, replication lag, and conflict resolution.
- Build and maintain automated regression suites for API, integration, and data-consistency test cases.
- Perform root-cause analysis on discrepancies between source and target systems.
- Track, document, prioritize, and retest defects in collaboration with engineering.
- Maintain test environments and production-like test data sets.
- Test ElectronJS applications using TestComplete or similar UI and functional automation tools.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional QA or test engineering experience, including meaningful backend or integration testing experience.
- Hands-on experience testing message-oriented middleware, including queues, topics, consumers, message flow, and failure conditions.
- Experience validating data replication or change-data-capture pipelines; Oracle GoldenGate experience is preferred.
- Working SQL proficiency, preferably with Oracle, including queries for verifying source-to-target data consistency.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Understanding of Git and collaborative QA/development workflows.
- Experience testing asynchronous event or message-processing systems, including duplicate and out-of-order messages.
- Experience with TestComplete or similar UI/functional test automation tools.
- Familiarity with ElectronJS applications.
