Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, testers, and developers to create and implement lighting features for next-generation EV and ICE vehicles.
  • Design, implement, and integrate complex embedded software systems in hand-coded C.
  • Develop and maintain unit and multicomponent tests, including model/code equivalence testing.
  • Develop and execute automated tests in simulation and hardware-in-the-loop environments to validate system and subsystem requirements.
  • Participate in Agile team activities and ceremonies.
  • Apply system-level testing methodologies while collaborating with CI/CD and automation teams.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be enrolled in a co-op program and meet its eligibility requirements.
  • Must be eligible to work full time, 40 hours per week, for a consecutive 12–16 month term beginning January 2027.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Embedded C and Python, understanding of embedded controls software and automated software build processes, familiarity with CAN, LIN, and SPI, and experience with virtualization or software integration.
  • Automotive-related experience or participation in AutoDrive, EcoCAR, or similar clubs is preferred.
