Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance central operating-system components of the BS2000 mainframe operating system.
- Support the software lifecycle from specification and implementation through testing, maintenance, and service support.
- Contribute to concepts for innovative and complex IT architectures based on customer requirements.
- Collaborate in large development teams and with international strategic partners.
- Prepare technical documentation and content for user manuals.
- Provide technical support to service and sales colleagues, including back-level maintenance and troubleshooting for proprietary modules and third-party components.
Requirements
- Completed degree, such as computer science, or comparable vocational training in an IT-related field.
- Initial professional experience in software development.
- Experience with programming languages, preferably Assembler, C, C++, and scripting languages.
- Experience debugging systems.
- Experience with the development lifecycle, including source management and continuous integration.
- Strong analytical skills, flexibility, creativity, customer orientation, and service orientation.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
