Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for stellarator simulation and design.
  • Automate large-scale scientific simulation workflows.
  • Build and maintain cloud-based data storage and applications for collaboration, knowledge discovery, and data exploration.
  • Integrate AI tools where they provide meaningful leverage.
  • Work directly with researchers to apply simulation tools to specific use cases.
  • Guide users and co-develop applications that unblock stellarator R&D programs.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Interest in scientific computing workflows, cloud- and web-based systems, and data management.
  • A user-first mindset and willingness to learn relevant domain knowledge in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Familiarity with Pydantic, JAX, React, TypeScript, FastAPI, cloud services, cloud-based applications, or data management systems is desirable but not required.
  • Interest in current software development practices, agentic development, and modern data pipelines and scheduling solutions.
