Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges.
- Design, build, deploy, and operate custom implementations involving AI voice assistants, Telnyx APIs, WebRTC, LLM gateways, and model-serving systems.
- Lead technical discovery, architecture, POCs, pilots, production launches, and customer handoff documentation.
- Deploy and govern LiteLLM and related model-routing infrastructure, including routing, fallbacks, rate limits, virtual keys, cost tracking, caching, logging, observability, and guardrails.
- Build production observability with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting using customer or standard tooling.
- Design model-routing strategies for real-time voice workloads and adapt models through prompt and RAG pipelines and evaluation harnesses.
- Own customer outcomes through go-live and stabilization, troubleshoot integration issues, and collaborate with Product and Engineering on roadmap improvements.
Requirements
- CS degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Proficiency in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and Go.
- Practical experience with production model behavior, rate limits, retries, streaming, token accounting, concurrency, and cost attribution.
- Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes and managing secrets, configuration, and upgrades.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, or ELK.
- High-concurrency experience with Kafka, message queues, or event streams.
- Experience building APIs, including OpenAPI, REST or GraphQL design, authentication, rate limiting, versioning, and idempotency.
- Customer-facing engineering experience, technical discovery, executive presentations, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
- Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice and messaging systems.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German.
- Based in Munich or willing to relocate, legally authorized to work in Germany or eligible for German sponsorship.
- Preferred qualifications include AI voice assistant, STT/TTS, LLM gateway, inference-serving, SQL, ETL, CI/CD, telecom, CPaaS, SaaS, sovereign-cloud, regulatory, and security experience.
