Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and Java with Spring Boot.
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, and IAM.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Conduct security-, performance-, and maintainability-focused code reviews.
- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.
- Implement deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, QA, and Product teams.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis.
- Continuously improve system architecture and engineering standards.
Requirements
- At least four years of hands-on experience in cloud backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Proven expertise building and deploying applications on AWS.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Strong foundation in secure coding practices, including OWASP, authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, containerization, and cloud deployments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in complex systems.
- Strong communication and collaborative, ownership-driven mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
