Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software systems and applications.
- Drive requirements analysis, software design, technical specifications, code reviews, and full development lifecycle activities.
- Analyze user needs, consult with end users, and prototype, refine, test, and debug programs.
- Maintain test scripts and prepare test strategies, plans, cases, summaries, and project test metrics.
- Perform unit, functional, load, user interface, performance, regression, and system integration testing.
- Support and maintain existing products, add customer-requested features, and provide UAT and production support.
- Troubleshoot issues across tiers and domains and respond to support situations within required deadlines.
- Guide project estimates, elicit and validate user and functional requirements, and work across multiple projects.
- Mentor and monitor Software Engineers on the technical aspects of their assignments.
- Evaluate new technologies and comply with security policies protecting system and data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or 5 or more years of related industry experience.
- At least five years of competent programming experience in Java, C#, C++, or Objective-C, depending on the development area.
- Competence with SQL or PL/SQL, relational database concepts, source code control systems, and secure programming techniques.
- Experience with distributed and component-based architecture, event-driven or asynchronous programming, multithreading, networking or telecommunications protocols, and software design.
- Web development experience may include HTML/CSS, XML, JavaScript, JSON, REST, and web or application servers such as IIS, Apache HTTP/Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, JBoss, or GlassFish.
- Mobile development experience may include at least two years designing, implementing, and unit testing mobile applications using Java, C++, Objective-C, or Swift.
- Experience with automated functional testing frameworks such as Cucumber or Selenium and advanced QA/QC techniques is preferred.
- Experience with Unix/Linux command-line programs, scripts, automated deployment scripts, reporting tools, UML, TDD/BDD, SOA, web services, and Agile/Lean development practices.
- Ability to perform code reviews, troubleshoot across tiers, support production applications, guide estimates, elicit requirements, and mentor engineers.
- Additional programming experience with C#, Ruby, Python, or PHP is a plus; testing certifications are preferred.

- Base pay varies by location: $118,000–$152,000 in Phoenix or Chicago and $142,000–$183,000 in San Francisco, plus eligibility for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
