Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Deliver complete software solutions across design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operations.
- Design and build Java-based backend services and RESTful APIs for credit and asset externalization workflows.
- Own BigQuery-backed datasets and pipelines for reporting, reconciliation, and external data delivery.
- Design data models and access patterns for accurate and auditable credit-asset representations.
- Optimize BigQuery performance, cost, and reliability through partitioning, clustering, query tuning, and related techniques.
- Build and operate real-time and near-real-time pipelines using Pub/Sub, batch or streaming frameworks, and Java services.
- Use Dataproc for large-scale data processing and synchronization across BigQuery tables.
- Ensure observability, data quality controls, compliance, and operational readiness across services and workflows.
- Advise management on project-level issues, guide junior engineers, and influence platform architecture and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product, finance, risk, compliance, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of professional experience building production software systems is preferred.
- Strong Java proficiency and experience designing RESTful APIs with Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
- 4+ years of hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience, particularly with BigQuery, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.
- Deep expertise in BigQuery query execution plans, performance tuning, partitioning, clustering, partition sizing, updates and deletes, and materialized views.
- Experience designing and operating real-time and near-real-time data pipelines.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, observability, dashboards, alerting, and production troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with IAM, service accounts, data access controls, data localization, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to design scalable and reliable systems with strong emphasis on correctness, performance, and operational excellence.
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliation, external data sharing, regulated environments, auditability, data lakes, data mesh, data fabric, payments, credit, or financial services is desirable.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
