Base Salary
$127k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, detailed design, coding, and unit, integration, functional, and system testing of software features.
- Translate system-level requirements into traceable software requirements, models, design, code, and test artifacts.
- Lead software system analyses, risk identification, mitigation planning, code reviews, verification monitoring, issue resolution, and deployment activities.
- Evaluate product and process alignment with project plans and industry standards, including team and supplier performance.
- Mentor and coach junior software engineers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and customers across multiple contracts and programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship; TS/SCI is preferred.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of Java and/or C++ object-oriented programming experience.
- At least 3 years leading software development projects.
- At least 1 year of MATLAB experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant Bachelor of Science degree with 5–9 years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree with 9–13 years of directly related experience, or 13–17 years of relevant experience depending on level.
- Preferred experience includes physics-based modeling, flight dynamics, sensors, electromagnetics, weapon models, terrain models, or flight control.
- Preferred familiarity with Git, GitLab, CMake, Linux, Windows, MATLAB Coder, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with Agile software development processes and strong communication, customer-orientation, flexibility, and teamwork are preferred.
- Candidates must satisfy Boeing’s conflict-of-interest assessment and complete the required CodeVue technical assessment.
