Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on end-to-end testing, preferably across storage systems.
  • Develop automation using Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
  • Identify automation opportunities and drive automated test suite development.
  • Design, develop, review, and maintain test plans and test cases.
  • Own QA documentation for defects, procedures, and processes.
  • Collaborate with developers to create black-box test strategies, test plans, and functional specifications.
  • Design and implement automated frameworks for functional and system testing.
  • Ensure product quality through continuous testing and code-base refinement.
  • Identify regression coverage for code changes between builds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 4–6 years of experience in software quality engineering.
  • At least 4 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in quality assurance for storage systems.
  • Knowledge of filesystems; Lustre and GPFS experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience testing and qualifying HPC storage systems is preferred.
  • Experience working with the Linux operating system.
  • Expertise in at least one automation framework, such as pytest.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker/containers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of data movement and management technology, tiered storage solutions, RAID, and data storage.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
