Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to support EMEA customers and prospects throughout the sales process.
- Conduct infrastructural and architectural discovery, understand project requirements, and validate them against the Contentful platform.
- Create product demonstrations and support technical evaluations showing how Contentful addresses business problems and integrates with prospects’ technology stacks.
- Identify and mitigate technical and business risks across multiple customer opportunities.
- Communicate prospect and customer needs and product feedback to product management, marketing, and sales.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Customer Success Managers to help newly signed customers implement and launch their projects.
- Travel up to 50% of the time and work with teams worldwide.
Requirements
- Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solution Engineer, Solution Architect, or Solution Consultant at a cloud-based PaaS or SaaS company, or 5–10 years as a developer working on digital experience delivery using marketing technology platforms.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain business and technical concepts to marketing-focused and technical audiences.
- Proven experience with current web technologies, including JavaScript frameworks, static site generators, REST APIs, CDNs, and CI/CD.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate meetings with customer stakeholders having varying levels of engagement and influence.
- Experience with a Content Management Platform or similar MarTech technology is preferred.
- Experience with solution-selling methodologies or value-based selling techniques is preferred.
- Understanding of MACH products and composable architectures is preferred.
- Curiosity about how technology drives business value and the ability to work across multiple opportunities and teams.
