Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enhancements to existing capabilities, predominantly using Java.
- Create service-oriented architectures and microservice solutions with web interfaces.
- Analyze requirements and derive user stories in collaboration with software and systems engineers.
- Perform integration, testing, debugging, code reviews, and root-cause analysis.
- Manage the full software lifecycle through deployment and Tier 3 support.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Address bug fixes and improve code quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders in an agile environment.
Requirements
- Fourteen years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or four additional years of comparable software engineering experience in place of the degree.
- Experience with Enterprise Java version 17 or higher and Java application frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Experience with messaging frameworks including JMS, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or ZeroMQ, and data formats including JSON, XML, or Google Protocol Buffers.
- Experience developing service-oriented architectures, microservice solutions, and database-backed applications using technologies such as Mongo or MySQL.
- Experience analyzing requirements, creating use cases and test cases, and tracking work with Jira and Confluence.
- DevOps experience managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab runners.
- Experience implementing Section 508 compliance requirements for user interfaces.
- Experience with Python development and familiarity with Python scientific-programming libraries such as NumPy and pandas.
- Ability to debug code, conduct code reviews, improve code quality, perform root-cause analysis, and work across shifting priorities.
- TS//SCI with Polygraph security clearance required for Maryland.
- Preferred experience includes Java IDEs, Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, Elasticsearch, geolocation applications, JICD, and ISLANDTRANSPORT.
