Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver scalable software solutions across applications, services, databases, and infrastructure.
- Develop and enhance backend services and cloud-native applications using C#/.NET, object-oriented languages, and AWS or comparable cloud technologies.
- Own applications and services end to end, including development, support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions, evaluate tradeoffs, identify risks, and drive technical alignment.
- Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate business goals into effective technical solutions.
- Apply automated testing, code reviews, observability, continuous delivery, and iterative delivery practices.
- Identify and reduce technical debt while improving application design, data flows, and engineering processes.
- Help ensure consistency, reliability, and visibility of analytics and risk-related data across portfolio management and analytics platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of progressive software engineering experience building applications in C#/.NET, Java, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions in AWS or a comparable cloud platform.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, backend application design, APIs, and data-intensive applications.
- Proficiency with SQL and experience contributing to technical design and architecture in collaborative engineering environments.
- Commitment to engineering excellence, including automated testing, code reviews, observability, and continuous delivery.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs, navigate differing viewpoints, and build consensus.
- Python experience is preferred.
- React experience and a financial services background are preferred.
