Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions supporting customer experiences and regulatory needs.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and distributed-system performance improvements.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
- Mentor engineers and participate in internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: experience with databases, AWS/GCP/Azure, open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, observability, mentoring engineers, cross-functional engineering efforts, large-scale initiatives, coding standards, and design patterns.
