Advanced Engineer, Embedded Software

- Translate product-owner and OEM requirements into reusable, scalable embedded software components.
- Design and implement modular Embedded C/C++ software on Embedded Linux-based TCU platforms.
- Develop platform capabilities involving connectivity, TCP/IP networking, V2X, eCall, security, diagnostics, OTA, and other TCU services.
- Perform requirements analysis, software design, implementation, code reviews, unit testing, debugging, verification, and root-cause analysis.
- Use Git, GitHub, Gerrit, Make, CMake, shell scripting, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines for development and collaboration.
- Support integration of reusable components into OEM customer programs.
- Guide team members through technical discussions, design reviews, issue analysis, and implementation guidance.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience developing software with Embedded C/C++ and Embedded Linux.
- Understanding of Linux device drivers, multithreading, IPC, and TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, Gerrit, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to debug complex embedded software issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with Make, CMake, and Bash scripting.
- Ability to design reusable software components and apply requirements traceability, unit testing, verification, and review practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with product, architecture, development, QA, and customer-facing teams.
- Baseline familiarity with using AI tools to support efficiency, problem-solving, and quality.
- Preferred experience with AUTOSAR, UDS/DoIP, CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, SOME/IP, Yocto, telematics architectures, OTA updates, MQTT, REST APIs, cloud integration, Docker, Jira, Confluence, Enterprise Architect, and ASPICE processes.
