Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts, drivers, frameworks, interfaces, and test cases for hardware and software products.
- Design and execute functional, integration, regression, hardware/software integration, interface, protocol, unit, subsystem, and system testing.
- Automate verification of system requirements and acceptance criteria in lab, simulation, and target hardware environments.
- Develop reusable automation frameworks for long-lifecycle defense programs and maintain secure, repeatable verification scripts.
- Develop test station software and the software ecosystem required for devices under test.
- Create and execute integration, product, regression, qualification, verification, and validation test plans.
- Perform hands-on lab testing of integrated electrical hardware and software systems, including RF and microwave products.
- Support product testing from laboratory prototyping through qualification and transition to manufacturing.
- Maintain configuration management throughout the product lifecycle and support field testing efforts.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers across locations.
- Mentor junior test engineers in scripting techniques and automation principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of industry experience.
- Experience developing test plans, frameworks, and test interfaces for integrated electrical hardware and software products.
- Experience developing and executing unit, subsystem, and system test cases.
- Experience developing test station software and software ecosystems for devices under test.
- Proficiency in test development for RF and microwave products and related laboratory instrumentation.
- Experience with RF test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Experience developing electrical functional tests for low-volume/high-mix and low-mix/high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred: Electrical Engineering or Computer Science bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred: experience with radar, SIGINT, or electronic warfare product development.
- Preferred: significant experience developing automated test cases with Python, .NET, and NI platforms.
- Preferred: Linux environment and software development experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to prioritize work and maximize productivity.
