Base Salary
$155k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver backend services and distributed workflows for Immuta’s core platform.
- Develop TypeScript-based microservices, Node.js services, RESTful APIs, and Temporal workflows.
- Integrate services with Snowflake, Databricks, Starburst, and Redshift.
- Own PostgreSQL performance and reliability through query tuning, configuration, benchmarking, and schema design.
- Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes-based environments using Skaffold and Flux.
- Improve system scalability, reliability, performance, engineering processes, automation, testing, and continuous delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and system architecture planning.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership. .
Requirements
- 5–8 years of software engineering experience in SaaS, cloud, or data-intensive environments.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js for backend and data-driven applications.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating microservice and distributed systems.
- Experience with asynchronous or long-running workflows such as Temporal and with API design.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL performance tuning, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication, curiosity, self-direction, and commitment to high-quality software development.
