
Software Engineer III (Java/Python/AWS)
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations meet design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, automation, resiliency practices, and secure coding standards.
- Contribute to solutions supporting JPMorganChase’s Consumer and Community Banking Deposit team.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- At least 3 years of applied software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating and refining their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices.
- Preferred: understanding of performance and resilience engineering, DevOps and platform engineering, infrastructure as code, pipeline design, artifact management, container security, scanning, and observability.
- Preferred: exposure to AWS, including ECS, Lambda, VPC, subnets, security groups, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Preferred: experience building AI agents using Copilot and other tools, plus experience with Kafka and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle.
