Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve production issues through code-level debugging, log analysis, workflow tracing, and SQL data analysis.
- Identify recurring-incident root causes and implement permanent fixes through code or configuration changes.
- Deliver fixes end to end, including implementation, validation, and regression testing.
- Write and maintain unit tests to ensure solution quality and prevent regressions.
- Design and build small automations, scripts, or tools to reduce manual operational effort.
- Provide specialist technical support during major incidents and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Partner with Production Support Analysts to improve runbooks, SOPs, and recovery procedures.
- Contribute to platform stability, performance, monitoring, and operational-readiness improvements.
- Ensure changes meet security, audit, quality, and operational standards.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and hands-on experience debugging production systems.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and root-cause investigations.
- Proven experience fixing defects and delivering small application enhancements.
- Experience implementing fixes and performing functional and regression testing.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit test cases.
- Understanding of application architectures, APIs, background jobs, and service-based systems.
- Working knowledge of Git, including branching, commits, and pull requests.
- Familiarity with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC, VB.NET, and MS SQL Server.
- 5–9 years of experience in software development, production support development, or application support engineering roles.
- Exposure to Splunk, New Relic, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, or Visual Studio is preferred.
- Basic understanding of financial services or investment platforms and experience contributing to knowledge bases or operational documentation are preferred.
