Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, enhance, and debug SAS 9 middle-tier platforms, services, and SAS 9.4 solutions.
- Fix customer, functionality, security, and performance issues across multiple SAS 9 foundation products and services.
- Collaborate with customers and technical support to resolve product issues.
- Plan and design application work while taking responsibility for significant portions of the application.
- Develop mid-tier services and REST APIs using the Java ecosystem.
- Perform unit, regression, and integration testing.
- Follow applicable security policies and processes supporting secure software development goals.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of software development experience.
- Excellent programming skills with Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Experience with database-centric applications and SQL, including PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Experience with JSP and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Knowledge of security concepts and tools such as Snyk and Black Duck.
- Experience with disciplined unit, regression, and integration testing.
- Experience working with large legacy codebases and large software portfolios.
- Good debugging, logical problem-solving, and ability to learn and adopt new technologies.
- Experience developing mid-tier services and REST APIs.
