Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain database-driven applications using Java and PL/SQL.
- Design and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and software solutions.
- Collaborate on code reviews, identify improvements, and apply development best practices.
- Participate in software design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Document code functionality, system architecture, and technical processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, database development, and query optimization.
- Strong Java programming skills and understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with relational database design, management, and SQL development.
- Proficiency with Git and other version control systems.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and software development best practices.
- Experience with code testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Preferred: experience with Oracle or other enterprise database systems, Spring Framework or other Java frameworks, RESTful API development and integration, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing tools, performance tuning, database optimization, software architecture patterns, and design principles.
