Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database applications using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Develop and support packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and materialized views.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize SQL queries and perform database performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot application and database issues, conduct root cause analysis, and support production incidents.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and release activities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
- For lead assignments, provide technical guidance, mentor team members, and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience is required; the posting also lists an experience range of 3–8 years.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and materialized views.
- Knowledge of SQL query optimization, performance tuning, database design, data modeling, exception handling, troubleshooting, Oracle database fundamentals, production support, and incident management.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, and Bitbucket.
- ETL/data migration, Unix/Linux shell scripting, CI/CD and DevOps practices, AWS or Azure, Autosys or Control-M, and Jira are preferred.
- Exposure to banking, financial services, or data-processing applications is preferred.
