Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements and business outcomes into technical architectures and designs.
- Lead technical workshops and board-level sales presentations with customers and partners.
- Provide guidance and oversight to development teams during implementation.
- Design for security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability, and serviceability.
- Create technical architecture documentation and ensure implementations meet non-functional requirements.
- Work with QA leadership to define test strategies.
- Lead DevOps efforts to define and implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Travel significantly for on-site project inception, training, and workshops.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of the Java platform.
- Experience with Spring, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of Service Oriented Architectures and Micro-Services Architecture.
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, MVC patterns, REST APIs, and preferably RAML and/or OpenAPI.
- Knowledge of architectural frameworks, best practices, Enterprise Integration Patterns, and integration frameworks.
- Operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers, and infrastructure used to deploy highly available and scalable web applications.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Preferred: financial services or banking solution experience; Portal/Web Content Management experience; familiarity with CQRS, event sourcing, server virtualization, Docker, VMWare, HyperV, integration platforms, and API gateways.
